For over 20 years, the electric bass guitar has been the instrument of expression for the lively and endearing personality of Myron "PhausterChyld" Foster. He has been traveling the US and abroad using his uniquely aggressive approach to funk grooving as a sideman for artists such as Dee Lucas, Kim Waters, Kindred The Family Soul, Bobby Valentino, Silk, Urban Mystic, Rob Tardik, and Ben Tankard, to name a few.
As an artist PhausterChyld offers a show with a little something for every appetite. From the moment he hits the stage he will grab you with infectious grooves, a winning smile, and his electric energy! Taking a cue from funk icons like Larry Graham, Bootys Collins, and Parliament Funkadelic he incorporates analog and digital effects to take you for a wild ride on the mothership. Just when you think you've reached the apex, PhausterChyld takes you even higher with the Talkbox made famous by Zapp featuring Roger Troutman and rock legend Peter Frampton. If this was not enough PhausterChyld mesmerizes the audience with rock inspired tunes paying homage to Prince and Jimi Hendrix. All the while never forgetting his smooth jazz/instrumental R&B roots with songs from his latest release "The Way I Hear It," and instrumental covers of top radio hits from the 80's and 90's.
