Beginning his musical career at age five, Tony was first known as a talented drummer. He traveled the Southeast playing dances and concerts, and even had the opportunity to perform with Brenda Lee. His musical interest soon led him to the saxophone, and which he also became very accomplished. He toured with the late “Moses” Dillard, playing sax.
He next developed a fascination with the keyboard. Playing piano, synthesizer, and Hammond B3, he performed with numerous acts such as: “The Tams”, “The Platters”, “Major Lance”, Lee Dorsey”, “Mary Wells”, “Barbara Lewis”, “The Drifters”, “The Georgia Prophets”, “Sonny Turner”, and “Herbie Mann”. Tony also appeared with “The Beach Boys”, “Dave Clark Five”, and “Ray Charles”. He toured the US with “Time Machine”, a Chicago-based horn band..
A jazz-oriented player who can play any style equally well, Tony continues to perform alone and with Suzy, and is always a crowd pleaser.
