Bio
Lana (Elana Purvis) is a native of Upstate SC. She is a graduate of the SC Governor's School for Arts and Humanities in Greenville SC, where she received both a High School diploma and an Arts Diploma. While attending the Governor's School, Lana traveled to Italy and performed in Florence, Venice and Rome (Vatican City). She also attended Berklee College of Music's 5-Week Jazz Intensive in Boston, MA studying with professional vocalists and musicians from all over the world.
Lana is well-known for her numerous musical theater roles that she has performed all over Upstate SC, including Dorothy in The Wiz, Jr., The Beleaguered Geek in Heathers and The Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, Jr. In addition, Lana was in the Inaugural Class of the Greenville Theater's Junior Players and gave her debut performance as a professional vocalist in the "Motown Magic" show at the Younts Theatre in Fountain Inn.
Lana is currently attending Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee, majoring in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Jazz Vocals. After graduating, she wants to become a professional Jazz and R&B singer performing in venues all over the world.
